Erin Peterson
Chief Executive Officer & Founder
Scout CEO and Founder Erin Peterson is working to promote stories that inspire change. She's got extensive experience with storytelling, journalism, video production, solutions-based messaging, social media, documentaries, podcasting, coaching, and building teams of content creators. At Scout, we tell emotional and revealing stories that help people understand complicated issues. Our goal is to expose problems and offer tangible solutions supported by facts, research, and compelling narratives.
After graduating from the University of Texas, Peterson worked her way up the local and cable news ladder as a News Producer, Executive Producer, and Director of Innovation. She's led a national docuseries team as well as award-winning shows, investigations, podcasts, and data teams.
Beyond being a 28-time Emmy award winning journalist, Peterson is also an AFA National Finalist in Persuasive Speaking and public speaking coach. Her mission is creating smart and engaging storytelling with impact. One of those stories helped change a federal law and VA policy. Her work is used as an educational tool for the U.S. State Department. You might have seen it featured on "Last Week Tonight with John Oliver," "Today Show," and A&E's "Intervention," among others. She's also earned the prestigious duPont Columbia award for Investigative Journalism, 3 National Murrows, a Cronkite award, and 4 Gracie awards.
Peterson volunteers her time mentoring young women though Alpha Phi and Digital Women Leaders. She enjoys teaching journalism and is a certified yoga instructor.

Matt Livingston is Scout's Chief Photography Officer and Founder. He's an Emmy award-winning photojournalist based in Atlanta. Matt brings movie magic to everyday stories. With a career that began as a weekend video editor in 2001, Matt has worked his way up to leading visual storytelling in news, marketing and documentaries. He's also produced award winning podcasts, promotions, and commercials. He's earned national Edward R. Murrow awards for his impactful work. Known for blending vintage 35mm film lenses with modern digital technology, Matt brings a unique cinematic aesthetic to his projects. He's also a certified drone pilot with extensive experience helping audiences see the world through a different lens.

Lauren Boston, Scout's Chief Content Officer & Founder, is an accomplished journalist with a passion for pushing the boundaries. After leading projects at Scripps News, Court TV and WXIA-TV, Lauren brings years of experience in video production, media strategy, and content management. She’s led investigative docuseries teams, produced news specials, and crafted digital narratives that connect viewers with complex issues, making data and facts relatable. Lauren’s experience producing and writing for top media talent in the journalism and entertainment industries has helped her hone a keen eye for honest, authentic storytelling. Lauren’s earned Emmys, Murrows, a Service to America Awards for her work. Her curiosity drives her to dig deep into research, ensuring every story is not only informative but impactful.

He’s worked with Fortune 100 companies and startups, helping teams streamline processes, manage risks, and boost performance. Eddie’s passion for strategy and numbers ensures Scout Stories can grow while staying focused on our mission: sharing stories that inspire change.
When he’s not crunching numbers, Eddie’s giving back having served as a board member and finance committee liaison for nonprofits like New Moms and March of Dimes. He’s always with the same dedication and energy he brings to Scout.
