Scout was built by the people who used to decide what made the news, and one who made sure the numbers held up. Here’s who you’re working with.
Erin spent her career in newsrooms as a producer, executive producer, and Director of Innovation, leading national investigations and the teams that made them. One of her stories helped change a federal law and VA policy. Her work is used as a teaching tool by the U.S. State Department, and it’s been featured on Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, the Today Show, and A&E’s Intervention.
At Scout, she runs the strategy. She’s the one who finds the story you didn’t know you had and makes sure it’s worth your budget.
She also keynotes and coaches speakers at erinkpeterson.com.
Matt started as a weekend video editor in 2001 and worked his way up to leading visual storytelling in news, marketing, and documentaries. He’s known for putting vintage 35mm film lenses on modern digital cameras, which is why Scout’s work looks like cinema instead of content.
He’s also a certified drone pilot, so when the story needs to be seen from 400 feet up, it is.
Lauren led projects at Scripps News, Court TV, and WXIA-TV, including investigative docuseries teams and news specials. She’s spent her career making complicated issues feel human, producing and writing for top talent in journalism and entertainment.
At Scout, she runs content and delivery. If it ships, Lauren shaped it.
Eddie brings 20+ years of financial leadership, from building audit teams to uncovering multimillion-dollar fraud schemes. He’s worked with Fortune 100 companies and startups, and he’s the reason Scout runs like a business and your project stays pointed at ROI.
Off the clock he serves nonprofits including Motherhood Beyond Bars and Buckhead Rotary. He’s also worked with New Moms and March of Dimes as a board member and finance committee liaison.
